Available for $39.99 by itself or $59.99 with two microphones, the new PS3 version includes 30 bundled songs - ranging from The Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil" to Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black" - plus some of the videos are displayed in high-definition, utilizing the Blu-ray disc format. Players can also download more than 200 additional tracks from the online SingStore for $1.49 apiece.

And it is not surprising that Conan remains famous not least for what he represents in virility and a, shall we say, uncomplicated approach to women.

More than 500,000 of those sales are from the United States alone, although the game has proven to be extremely popular across Europe as well. In fact, nearly 800,000 gamers have also signed up to the 'Clan of Conan' fan club worldwide.

Funcom's Sales and Marketing vice president Morten Larssen said, "Sales data shows that Age of Conan is the biggest MMO launch since World of Warcraft. The numbers are very promising, and we are very proud to be one of the fastest selling PC games ever in a launch month and the biggest simultaneous Europe/US MMO launch in history."

Trying to play a massive game like this for preview within a limited time as other publications cycle through doesn't exactly make it easy to write an informative preview. So instead we just asked a few questions of Destin Bales, content director at EA Mythic, regarding how the game's beta testing is going and what to expect in Warhammer's end-game content.

The Worlds Edge Mountains stand to the east of the Empire, separating the so-called civilized lands from the barren Dark Lands. The region is home to the Dwarf race, one of the oldest in the Warhammer world.

This is great news for Aussie MMORPG fans (as well as those throughout the Asia-Pacific region, who will also have access to the server) and for Australia in general being taken more seriously as a gaming territory. EA was keen to point out that it's supplying the local server in response to requests for it from the community.
